A landscape of panoramic, horizontally elongated format, sustained in a cool silvery-blue tonality. The compositional center is the broad water surface of a river, upon which floating cranes and dredges (excavating or extracting machinery) with their characteristic boom structures are positioned. In the far distance, as a band, lies a mountain range of soft blue-azure contours. The work is executed with free, generalized brushwork that conveys aerial perspective and the mirror-like surface of the water.
