Decorative Wool Panel

Description

The object is a decorative panel handcrafted from soft wool by Nurgul Yeltezerova, a teacher in the art department of the Kulsary Children’s School of Arts. The composition presents a stylized natural landscape with yurts, vegetal motifs, and elements inspired by traditional ornament. Multicoloured wool fibres create a distinctive textured surface and vivid decorative effect. The lower and side edges are finished with fringe. The work combines imagery associated with traditional Kazakh culture with contemporary handicraft techniques and represents an example of decorative and applied art using wool as its principal artistic material.
