Sholps (hair accessory)

Description

The hair accessory consists of a triangular silver element in the form of a tumar with an eye. The surface of the element is decorated with a plant‑geometric ornament. Two silver coins are suspended from it on chains. The central part of the composition is a shaped horizontal plate of an elongated form, the edges of which are decorated with characteristic spiral curls resembling ram’s horns. The surface of the plate bears the inscription “Mashallah” in Arabic script. Two functional pendants are attached to the plate using connecting rings. Each pendant consists of three silver coins and twisted rods, which represent personal hygiene items - a toothpick and an earpick.
