Description

Author: Nurmukhammedov, Nagimbek. 1924-1986
A battle composition dedicated to the heroism of a female soldier depicts a young woman in military uniform and a forage cap shown at full length in the center, with a grenade in her raised hand. Her figure is captured in a dynamic, abrupt movement against the backdrop of the battlefield. To the left and right, disabled artillery, billows of smoke, and flashes of explosions fill the scene. The composition rests on contrasting the dark silhouette of the figure against the fiery glow of the background, rendered through synthetic forms and a free, expressive painterly style. The palette is built on the deep, brownish-red tones of flame and smoke, punctuated by the vibrant blue accent of her skirt and the ochre field shirt. At the lower right – signature and date.
