Description

Author: Noda, Andrey. 1962
A semi-abstract still life depicting a blue tall-necked jug alongside a pink vase-shaped vessel at the center, set against rhythmically arranged rectangles. The lower portion of the canvas features rectangular planes containing the silhouettes of various items of tableware. The objects are generalized into flat patches of color enclosed within sharp contours, rendering the spatial environment entirely conventional. The painted surface is densely textured, applied with energetic brushstrokes. The color palette relies on the contrast between deep blue and muted red tones. At the lower right - the artist’s monogram.
