Bust-length depiction of a woman with dark wavy hair, in a dark blue garment; her head is slightly turned, her gaze directed at the viewer. In her ears are large green-and-gold drop earrings, around her neck a string of white pearls, and near her shoulder a pale flower. The face is softly modelled, with emphasis on the expressive dark eyes and scarlet lips. The background is neutral, a muted brownish-grey. The manner of execution is painterly and generalised, with soft, impasto brushwork. Lower right - signature.
