A mountain landscape depicting a turbulent stream rapidly descending through a rocky gorge. The composition is vertically structured, emphasizing the movement of water cascading between large dark boulders. On both sides of the gorge are slopes with shrubs and coniferous trees rendered in rich green and ochre tones. The painterly manner is free and dynamic, characterized by active impasto brushwork and decorative generalization of form.
