Portrait of a young woman in a blue-green dress with a red accent flower in her black hair, holding a bouquet of red flowers; the background is entirely filled with potted plants and floral arrangements, forming a decorative, flattened space without deep perspective. The colour scheme is built on the contrast between a cool blue-turquoise dominant and the warm red-orange accents of the bouquets. The handling is textured and impasted, in places heavily so: form is modelled through colour and the dynamics of the brushstroke rather than line, while the facial features retain a graphic precision.
