Medal “70 Years of the Armed Forces of the USSR”

Description

Medal “70 Years of the Armed Forces of the USSR”. Awarded to: Dyomin M.S.
The medal is circular in shape and is attached by means of an eyelet and a ring to a pentagonal mount covered with a silk moiré ribbon. In the center of the medal, framed by laurel branches, are bust profiles (facing right) of a sailor, a pilot, and an infantry private. At the top edge there is a five-pointed star. At the bottom edge, the dates “1918” and “1988” are inscribed in two lines.
On the reverse side of the medal, in the center, there is a five-line inscription: “70 YEARS OF THE ARMED FORCES OF THE USSR”, below which are crossed laurel and oak branches.
The moiré ribbon is red with green stripes along the edges and a central grey longitudinal stripe bordered by thin yellow lines. The reverse side of the mount features a pin fastening.
