Description
“Astana” is a work of art dedicated to the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the continuity of national history and culture. In the composition, artist A. Duzelkhanov depicts the image of Tomyris, the Saka queen, harmoniously connecting it with the modern architectural character of the city of Astana.
Tomyris is depicted wearing an ornate historical-national costume and a tall decorative headdress. Her clothing features numerous golden decorative elements and traditional ornaments. The image of the queen conveys majesty, strength, freedom, and the dignity of a ruler. The flower held by Tomyris may also be interpreted as a symbol of peace and creation.
The background and side areas of the composition feature architectural landmarks of Astana, modern buildings, monuments, and public spaces. The cityscape is harmoniously combined with the image of Tomyris, symbolizing the connection between the ancient history of Kazakhstan and the development of the modern state.
