Description
Fragments of decorative appliqués made of gold, dating back to the early Iron Age. The items are flat, in rectangular and curved shapes. Each of them is finely crafted, featuring zoomorphic and geometric ornaments on the surface. On some fragments, stylized figures of animals and compositional elements are clearly visible.
The appliqués were likely used as decorative elements for clothing or horse tack. On the reverse side, black spots have been preserved, indicating a prolonged stay of the objects in the ground and changes caused by oxidation.
