Women’s Silver Bracelet

Description

The women’s silver bracelet dates to the 19th century and represents a substantial example of traditional Kazakh jewelry. It is a wide, massive, open-ended bracelet made of 800 silver. The ends terminate in curled, tooth-like projections. The front surface contains five oval settings with pink-colored stone inserts. The relatively smooth central section contrasts with the elaborately embossed edges, creating a pronounced relief effect. The decorative treatment was executed using stamping, impression, and repoussé techniques. The combination of substantial form, relief ornamentation, and colored stone inserts reflects the decorative traditions of Kazakh jewelry. The object is well preserved, with stable metal and clearly defined decorative elements.
