Button with Ornamental Pattern

Description

A round button made of 925 sterling silver and associated with Western Kazakhstan. Its edge is decorated with a finely patterned raised border produced using the chasing technique. The central area of the obverse features a complex ornamental composition resembling a traditional amulet motif. The design is divided into sectors containing geometric and granulated elements stylized as protective symbols. A metal loop for attachment to clothing is fixed on the reverse. The object was produced using stamping, impression, edge-cutting, and chasing techniques. It is in good condition: the metal is stable, the relief elements are clearly defined, and no deformation is visible. The button has historical, ethnographic, and artistic significance as an example of nineteenth-century jewelry craftsmanship and traditional clothing accessories of Western Kazakhstan.
