Description
A traditional personal hygiene accessory made of silver and associated with Western Kazakhstan. The object has an unusual form visually resembling the silhouette of a dombra: one end is narrow and pointed, while the opposite section is wider and has a teardrop-oval shape. A raised “eye” motif is positioned in the center of the wider section and surrounded by an elegant volute pattern. An additional circular decorative element, produced using the chasing technique and framed by ornamental contours, is present on the upper section. The object is made of 800 silver using stamping, impression, and chasing techniques. It is in good condition, with stable metal, clearly defined relief decoration, and no visible deformation or damage. The object has historical, ethnographic, and artistic significance as an example of personal adornment and traditional jewelry craftsmanship in 20th-century Western Kazakhstan.
