Mortar

Description

Mortar - a traditional Kazakh household implement used for grinding and pounding grain crops. It is carved from a single piece of hardwood. The mortar has a cylindrical shape, a wide base, an open top, and a slightly thickened middle section. The lower part features a round base that ensures stability in an upright position and prevents the vessel from rocking. The outer surface has not been specially treated, preserving the natural texture of the wood.
