Description

Кеrme – bag for storage of household items. Pile weaving. On right side of central field placed stylized geometrical and zoomorphic patterns of green, white, brown colors. Wide border filled by patterns “ashamai”, “tortkulak” of brown, red and white colors. Narrow borders - with pattern in the form of «fork» (shanyshky). Liningt from sacking. There are three loops for hanging and tassels from multi-coloured threads. Bottom is decorated with narrow strip of pileless weaving from brown threads and fringe from color threads. 2nd half of the 20th c. Woolen threads, mixed weaving. 40х107 сm, fringe 22 сm. Turkmenistan. Acquired from Ashimbaeva Tugelbibi in 1987. Krasnovodsk region, Krasnovodsk dis-t, Khasan village. Expedition of CSM RK in TurkmenSSR.
