Iron Hearth (Cooking Stand)

Description

A traditional household item of the Kazakh people, this metal hearth was used for cooking. It consists of three supporting legs that rest on the ground and a circular top ring designed to hold the bottom of a cauldron. The legs are riveted to the ring and slightly curved outward at the base for stability. Despite its simple construction, the iron hearth is a significant element of Kazakh domestic culture.
