Description

Tusalasha (wall carpet). Consists of 13 cross-linked woven stripes from twisted woolen threads of white, black, yellow, blue, red, green and brown colors. Composition of ornament made in complex technique terme. It comprises alternating stripes with patterns kosmuіz, tolkyn, irek, shynzhara, orkesh, bes tanba. To one side on length and two sides on width sewn: separatly woven bands, decorated with patterns bestanba, irek. Bordered by binder of black woolen threads. To one side along the length sewn eight loops with fringe for hanging to kerege. Eight hooks from coarse burlap. Other – fringe of twisted weft threads. 2nd half of the 20th century. Woolen yarn, burlap, weaving and sewing. 155×256 cm. South-Kazakhstan (Shymkent) region.
