Mountain Peonies. Still Life against the Mountains

Description

Author: Ismailova, Gulfairus. 1929-2013
At the center of a round white table, a lush bouquet of white and dark pink peonies is arranged in a blue ceramic vase. Beyond the still life, a second spatial plane opens onto a window overlooking snow-capped mountain peaks. On the left, the composition is framed by a light curtain with subtle grayish shadows, lending a vertical rhythm to the scene. The contrast between the soft white and deep pink petals against the cool blue of the vase creates a striking color tension, bringing vitality to the composition’s overall restrained tonal palette.
