Description

This is a traditional Kazakh wooden vessel called a “shara.” The shara was generally used for pouring, storing, and serving beverages such as kumys, ayran, and shubat. Its outer surface is decorated with traditional floral ornaments in red and black. The interior is coated with gold-colored paint, which enhances the vessel’s decorative and aesthetic value. Such vessels were typically used during celebrations and when receiving honored guests.
