Glazed Ceramic Vase

Description

The vase is made of ceramic, with thin walls, a pear-shaped body, and a tall neck. One section of the rim is damaged, and areas of glaze loss are visible on the surface. The middle part of the vase is convex, while the neck narrows towards the top and has an outward-flared rim. The handle is attached to the upper and middle parts of the neck. The upper part of the handle features a three-dimensional figure of a seated bird. At the transition from the body to the neck, there is a semi-relief ornament consisting of two horizontal lines with an interlaced pattern between them. The lower part of the body is decorated with a repeating semi-relief ornament in the form of letters, as well as a horizontal band featuring the “Tauteke” ornament. The vase is covered with glaze decorated with bright green vertical stripes and white areas along the sides.
