Kazygurt District Museum

Kazygurt District Museum is one of the significant cultural and scientific institutions in Southern Kazakhstan. The history of its establishment and its activities hold a special place in the spiritual and cultural life of the region.

The Kazygurt District Historical and Local History Museum was founded in 1989. Its main goal is to collect, preserve, and study the rich historical heritage of the district, as well as to introduce visitors to its culture and history. The museum’s exhibitions cover the archaeological, ethnographic, historical, and natural wealth of the region.

The museum is divided into four main sections:

1. The Archaeology Section features ancient ceramic vessels, tools, coins, and other archaeological artifacts discovered during excavations in the district.

2. The Ethnography Section showcases the traditional lifestyle of the Kazakh people, including crafts, national clothing, and everyday household items.

3. The History Section presents the history of the district’s formation, its socio-economic development, and provides information about notable figures from the area.

4. The Nature Section introduces visitors to the local flora and fauna, as well as the district’s natural landmarks.

The museum's collection includes thousands of artifacts. These items reflect the district’s rich cultural heritage and serve as valuable materials for scientific research.
