The plate is cast, worked with embossing and embossing. The image is strongly stylized, but the animal’s specific features are read freely. It is depicted in a lying pose. The legs are pinched so that the hoofs of the front leg touch the outside of the foot of the hoof. The contours of the other pair of legs protrude above the first. The hooves are pointed and separated from the legs in two strips. The fleshy body is curved, the whole weight of the body is shifted to the front leg, which gives the impression of a raised croup on the half-bent hind legs. The head of the griffin is connected to the rod of the horns. The tail in the manner of the horse is wide and pompous, combed into three strands. The tail from the rump descends to the legs, then bends steeply upward, connecting with the tip of the horns. On the inner side of the corners of the frame are soldered four silver loops of rectangular shape, serving to attach the plate to the strap.
