Tripod Cauldron

The cauldron is made of cast bronze and rests on three legs. The body is oval-shaped, tapering smoothly toward the rim. The rim is out-turned and features an internal bevel. A raised relief band, executed in the form of a twisted cord, encircles the body. Four handles with oval-section loops are attached to the walls of the body. The legs are hollow and curved, featuring fluting (cannelure) in the upper section, while their lower terminals are fashioned in the shape of narrow zoomorphic hooves.
