Description
Alasha is a traditional Kazakh pileless carpet used to decorate the interior of a yurt. This alaša belonged to the family of composer Mukhan Tolebayev. The item was handwoven from green, black, red and white threads. This traditional carpet reflects the characteristics of Kazakh decorative and applied art and domestic culture. The exhibit is associated with the family life of Mukhan Tolebayev and has memorial, historical, domestic and ethnographic value.
