Description

Author: Nurzhumayev, Oralbek. 1938-1996
A portrait depicts Doctor of Science Sailau Baizakov standing in three-quarter view to the left, dressed in a dark suit, white shirt, and tie, resting his right hand on the casing of a computing machine while holding a punched tape in his left. Computing machines with round reels are arranged on both sides of the figure. The composition is built frontally, with the figure occupying the center and standing out as a dark silhouette against the light planes of the equipment. The painterly treatment is restrained, with generalized forms and flattened interior details. The palette relies on combining deep blue and brown tones with ochre and bluish accents.
