Author: Leontiyev, Leonid. 1913-1983
A genre composition rendered in a free, painterly style with a generalized treatment of form and a luminous palette. A group of people is depicted waiting for transport at a stop: in the foreground stands a woman with a bag, to her left a young woman shown in profile, and behind them two women and a man. Luminous buildings rise above the figures. The color scheme is built on a harmonious contrast of warm ochre-yellow and cool grey-blue tones, while broad, uninhibited brushwork imparts a gentle dynamism to the scene
