Description

Author: Zakovryashin, Alexander. 1899-1945
A landscape depicting a low, slope-roofed structure in the middleground, rendered in dense patches of ochre and dark brown. To the left of the building are bare trees and human figures. In the foreground, three female figures clad in long garments move along a gently sloping road. The sky is rendered in a warm, sunset palette of ochre and pink. The ground is painted in broad horizontal brushstrokes, conveying a flat, steppe terrain. Executed as a study, the painting relies on flat color masses, free of detailed rendering.
