Still Life with Landscape

Description

Author: Duysenbayev, Kenzhebay. 1942
Combining still-life and landscape genres, the composition features a wicker basket with scattered red and yellow apples alongside a cartwheel in the foreground. The background unfolds into an evening vista with grazing horses and trees against a twilight sky with a rising full moon. The color scheme juxtaposes warm, ochre-red fruit accents with the cool blue-green palette of the night scene. The work is characterized by a dense, generalized brushwork and the motif of a rustic still life embedded within a landscape.
