A decorative-fantastic (metaphorical) composition of an animalistic kind, at the centre of which is a large stylized fish shown in profile across almost the entire width of the canvas. Along its body runs a row of round blue portholes. The background is filled with an ornamental environment of swirls, dashes and dots. The composition is planar and decorative; the palette is warm and muted, with cool blue accents. The painterly manner is textured, graphic-painterly, with an emphasis on decorative rhythm and a fairy-tale, conventional, ironic mood.
