Description
Author: Velikanova, Regina. 1894-1972
A landscape depicting a park avenue in the evening, receding into the depth of space and lined with leafless trees on both sides. In the background, a domed building (the House of Pioneers) can be seen through the silhouettes of the trees. The composition is structured around the rhythm of the vertical tree trunks and the gentle curves of the branches, creating a sense of depth and spatial extension. The work belongs to the genre of lyrical landscape executed through the means of tonal painting, where the artistic image is constructed through subtle colour relationships and the emotional expressiveness of the light-filled atmosphere. In the lower left corner, there is the artist’s signature and date.
