A landscape genre composition depicting a steppe setting. In the middle ground, a group of riders moves along a rise. The composition is structured through a sequence of horizontal planes: the foreground with a grassy slope and a flock of sheep; beyond it, the open steppe and mountain ranges. The color palette is light, dominated by ochre-golden and bluish-pink tones. The painterly manner is free, with generalized forms.
