Korzyn

Description

A shaggy cross-body bag, korzhyn, woven from woolen threads using carpet weaving techniques. Color – brown, with two pockets, the front side adorned with a zoomorphic ornament executed in shades of yellow, red, brown, and black. Along the edge, there is a double row of the “alamonshaq” ornament, with the pattern “qumсағат” placed between the rows. On the back, a woolly multicolored pattern “taŋdai” is woven, to which a round braided strap made from brown camel wool yarn is attached for hanging. The lining is dense, non-pile, woven from pink thread. Western Kazakhstan.
