Description
Traditional Uyghur stringed bow instrument. A type of knee violin. The name comes from the word ‘hush’ meaning bird. Therefore, often a bird is depicted at the top of the neck. It features a hollow light-colored wooden body, with two patterned openings and a carved ornament in the middle. A short curved fretless neck with four strings and a bow.
