Bronze Bowl with a Wolf’s Head

Description

The vessel is shaped like a pear, with an elongated neck. The upper part is designed in the form of a wolf’s head. The neck and sides are decorated with ornamental patterns. The eyes are protruding and made of copper. The handle and lid have not been preserved. It is dated to the 10th-11th centuries. The item was accidentally discovered in 1951 in the Baizak District.
