Vase

Description

The vase, made especially for the 300th anniversary of the Romanov dynasty, has a pear-shaped form. The neck is slightly thickened and white in color. The exterior of the vase features half-length portraits of two generations of the Romanov dynasty, enclosed in decorative frames. The date “1631-1913” is inscribed beneath the portraits. Around the images, an inscription in Old Church Slavonic ornamental script reads: “V pamyat 300 letiya tsarstvovaniya Doma Romanovykh “(In memory of 300 years of the reign of the House of Romanov.) The neck is circular, and the base is recessed.
