Description
: The exhibit is a wooden shoe last used for making, repairing and restoring the shape of footwear. The item was hand-carved from a solid piece of wood. The shape of the last corresponds to the anatomical structure of the human foot, allowing it to be used to maintain and restore the shape of footwear. The surface of the last is carefully worked and polished. Traces of prolonged use have been preserved in some areas, indicating its active use in everyday work. The exhibit was donated to the museum collection in 1981 by Sadyk Akimbayev, a resident of the Zhdanov state farm in Talas District.
