Dombra

Description

The dombra is a musical instrument and a vivid symbol of traditional Kazakh culture. This is a replica of the dombra belonging to the poet, composer, and singer Birzhan Sal. The dombra has two strings and twelve frets. There is a triangular sound hole on the soundboard, and the neck is long. The instrument is carved from a single piece of wood and has a brown color. Birzhan Sal’s dombra especially reflects his creative legacy and the development of Kazakh kui art.
