Description

Cast-iron cauldron - a dome-shaped, round vessel made of cast iron, with a tightly fitting lid and a special supporting base. A traditional kitchen utensil characteristic of Slavic peoples. It was designed for cooking food in a preheated oven.

The upper rim of the vessel is turned inward and features a special groove that ensures a tight fit of the lid. The lower part has a raised cylindrical pedestal base, providing stability when the cauldron is placed on a flat surface or over a hearth.
