Loading images...

Description

An anthropomorphic ceramic jug with an egg-shaped body and a wide neck. One side of the vessel’s body has been flattened to facilitate the pouring of liquids. Three vertically arranged anthropomorphic figures are depicted on the body of the jug, showing distinct male features. The form of the object is characterized by slight asymmetry. The jug was made from clay mixed with sand. The hand-molding technique was used in its production. The vessel shows signs of insufficient firing; cracks and traces of firing are visible on the surface. The composition of the ceramic paste and the features of its processing indicate the ancient origin of this ceramic artifact.
