Description

Chapan is one of the traditional outer garments of the Kazakh people, intended for boys. The chapan is made of dark blue velvet and has short sleeves. The edges and sleeves are decorated with gold-colored embroidery. The embroidery features traditional Kazakh floral motifs and the “koshkar muyiz” (ram’s horn) ornament. This chapan has a decorative purpose and is intended for festive or ceremonial occasions.
