Description

A traditional winter headdress of the Kazakh people - a fox-fur ushanka. The front part, the two ear flaps, the lower edge, and the back section of the ushanka are trimmed with valuable fox fur - thick, long-haired, and glossy black fur. The ear flaps and the back section are cut wide and generously to provide effective protection for the neck and ears against cold weather. The front fur section is turned upward and positioned openly outward.
The crown of the ushanka is deep and consists of four gores (sections), covered with dense dark-blue velvet fabric. The interior is lined with warm drap fabric, making the headdress comfortable and suitable for wear during cold winter days.
