Bow with Bracer

Description

Adyrna is a traditional Kazakh handheld weapon. The bow is made of assembled wooden parts: the upper and lower sections are flat, while the central part is made of rounded wood. The surface is wrapped with leather and silk thread. A wooden support called “tobyrshak” is installed at the joints of the bow limbs. A sinew string is stretched through the notches at both ends of the bow and secured with silk thread. The bow case is covered with thick fabric and decorated with Kazakh traditional ornaments.
