Dombra

Description

This dombra belonged to the improvisational poet Maksut Kairbekuly, a close friend of the renowned Kazakh composer Mukan Tulebayev. The dombra is a central instrument in Kazakh musical heritage, known for its melodic clarity and cultural depth.
The instrument features an oval-shaped soundbox, crafted from multiple joined wooden components. This composite structure enhances its acoustic resonance and contributes to a rich, expressive tone.
