Description

A metal vessel with a characteristic shape: it has a wide base, a narrow high neck and a strongly expanding mouth. There is also a long, curved handle attached to the top of the neck and body. The metal is dark in color, copper or bronze.
A traditional jug or vessel for water, known in Turkic and Middle Eastern cultures. In the Kazakh language, such a vessel is called “dun”, it was used to store and supply water, koumiss, ayran and other beverages. Such vessels were often used in everyday life and could have both utilitarian and decorative significance.
