Description

The set consists of the Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd Class, and its award booklet, belonging to Tobaniyaz Bozhigitov. The order is composed of a raised five-pointed star covered with ruby-red enamel, superimposed on a star-shaped field of radiating rays. The central medallion features a gilt hammer and sickle on a white enamel background, surrounded by a dark-red band bearing the inscription “PATRIOTIC WAR” and a small star below. The ends of a crossed rifle and saber are visible against the rays. The reverse bears the serial number 1956973. The award booklet contains the recipient’s name, award grounds, order and booklet numbers, official seal, and signature of the Secretary of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR. The award was conferred by Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated 11 March 1985, commemorating the 40th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. The object has significant historical and memorial value.
