Description
The silver belt with clasps dates to the 19th century and represents a functional and decorative element of traditional Kazakh women’s dress. The belt is constructed from dense red velvet fabric. Both ends are fitted with connecting elements bearing large rectangular silver clasps decorated with relief ornament. Eight symmetrical pendant elements are attached to the belt, composed of polished agate stones. The substantial silver clasps feature geometric and solar motifs executed through stamping and carving, with granulation details. The combination of red velvet, silver, and semi-precious stone inserts gives the object a formal decorative character. The belt is well preserved, with stable textile and metal components and no visible deformation.
