Women’s Ring with a Pink Glass Insert

Description
A substantial women’s ring consisting of a sturdy shank and a large oval face plate with pronounced three-dimensional relief. The upper section of the ring is oval in form and contains a pink glass insert imitating carnelian. The surface of the glass insert is decorated with a granular ornament arranged in a composition resembling a traditional amulet motif. The edges of the plate are embellished with twisted decorative elements and granulation. The ring is made of 925 sterling silver using stamping and impression techniques. The ring has historical, ethnographic, and artistic significance as an example of traditional jewelry craftsmanship of the 20th century.
