Description
A round silver button made of 925-standard silver. The edge is decorated with a serrated ornamental border, while a pink-colored stone is set in the center. The front surface features a decorative composition of nine regularly arranged tooth-like elements. The object was produced using stamping and impression techniques with subsequent cut-edge finishing. A loop for attachment to clothing is preserved on the reverse. The button represents a decorative and functional element of nineteenth-century dress and is of interest for the study of historical costume and applied jewellery craftsmanship.
