Badge «Centenary of the Oil and Gas Industry of the USSR»

Description

The badge consists of a rectangular upper suspension bearing the inscription «100 лет» (“100 Years”) and a circular pendant. The obverse features a raised representation of an oil derrick, storage tanks and elements of industrial infrastructure. The central composition is framed by laurel branches, a traditional decorative motif used on commemorative and jubilee insignia. The badge was produced to commemorate the centenary of the oil and gas industry of the USSR. The object belonged to R. Mamaev and reflects the industrial development and historical significance of the Soviet oil and gas sector.
